At 7:19 p.m., Genoa police responded for a call about a 61-year-old man who had been stabbed in the chest at his residence, according to the release.

The release said he was stabbed by a 39-year-old Genoa woman.

The man was taken to OSF St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford with wounds that were not life-threatening and was released, according to the release.
