A night of scary stories at museum

SYCAMORE – The Midwest Museum of Natural History and Northern Illinois University School of Theater and Dance will present a unique evening of weird stories and murder ballads for adults from 7:30 to 10 p.m. Saturday.

Dramatic readings of terrifying tales by H.P. Lovecraft, Roald Dahl and Edgar Allen Poe, among others, will be presented by NIU theater students and faculty.

Suggested donation is $10 or pay what you wish. All proceeds will benefit MMNH.

Attendees can bring their own beverage, a flashlight and a blanket to sit on. Light snacks and soft drinks will be available for sale.

The museum is located at 425 W. State St. in Sycamore. For more information, visit www.mmnh.org or call 815-895-9777.
