Ukulele strum and sing-along planned at library

DeKALB – The DeKalb Public Library, 309 Oak St., will host a “Ukulele Strum and Sing” at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

Show up with your ukulele and Liz and Jim Beloff’s “The Daily Ukulele:
365 Songs for Better Living” songbook, and be ready make music with other people.

The songs for October include: “Clementine,” “Drunkin’ Sailor,” “Good Night Irene,” “Love Potion No. 9,” “Jambalaya,” “Ring of Fire,” “Red River Valley,” “Oh Susanna,” “What’ll I Do” and “Enjoy Yourself.” Feel free to dress in a simple costume or wear something that celebrates the season.

Carolyn Law and Sue Klopfenstein will lead the free program. Sessions will be from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. every fourth Thursday.
