Born Learning Trail celebrated

The DeKalb Chamber of Commerce board members, ambassadors and staff, along with community members, recently joined the Kishwaukee United Way and the DeKalb Park District in celebrating the grand opening of the Born Learning Trail. The family-friendly play trail helps children, parents, grandparents and caregivers engage in early learning activities. Located at Lion’s Park, 700 W. Taylor St. in DeKalb, the trail has descriptive signs and fun stencils so kids of all ages and abilities can participate in the guided activities. The trail was sponsored by Target, and built by Target team members and other volunteers on Kishwaukee United Way’s Day of Caring in June.
