DeKALB – St. Paul’s Episcopal Church will offer an adult formation class titled "The Bible Tells Me So ..." beginning Sunday.
The five-part series is based on the book, "The Bible Tells Me So ... Why Defending Scripture Has Made Us Unable to Read It," by Pete Enns.
The format will be comprised of a video presentation by Enns combined with group discussion, led by the Rev. Barbara A.T. Wilson. It will be necessary for participants to read the book as they go along.
Each class will meet from 9 to 10 a.m. Sundays through Oct. 6 in the Parish Hall.
People of all faiths and beliefs are welcome, wanted and invited to attend, and are also welcome to attend the church's weekly service and celebration of Holy Communion on Sundays at 8 a.m. or 10:30 a.m.
The sessions are free, no sign-up required, and parking is plentiful at the church.
St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 900 Normal Road in DeKalb, is a member of the Episcopal Diocese of Chicago.
