Police investigate body found along I-88 near Aurora

Male who was found near westbound lanes of traffic has not been publicly identified

AURORA – Police have yet to publicly identify the body of a male found in a ditch along Interstate 88 on Monday.

According to the Illinois State Police, troopers were dispatched to the scene around noon Monday and found the body about 30 feet from the westbound lanes of I-88 at milepost 117, near the Aurora Toll Plaza.

State police crime scene investigators were called to the scene, and the body was later taken away by the Kane County Coroner's Office, police said.

Police have offered no information about whether they suspect foul play.
