5th Ward residents invited to meet with new alderman May 30

DeKALB – New 5th Ward Alderman Scott McAdams is inviting residents in his ward to a meeting May 30 to discuss parking regulations.

The meeting will take place on a Thursday, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the second floor council chambers at the DeKalb Municipal Building, 200 S. Fourth St., according to a news release from the city.

New downtown parking regulations are set to go into effect within nine days, and will affect downtown residents, some of whom live in the 5th Ward.

McAdams will give opening remarks, and the rest of the time will be for citizen comment.

The release also states that other city and elected officials will be in attendance, including City Manager Bill Nicklas; Scott Campbell of the DeKalb County Board; Samantha McDavid, president of the DeKalb School District 428 Board; and DeKalb Police Department command staff.
