YORKVILLE – A Sandwich man has been sentenced to nine years in prison on drug trafficking charges after police found crack cocaine and other drug paraphernalia in his former Plano home.
Timothy A. Jefferies, 31, of the 300 block of Wentworth Drive, entered into a plea deal on charges of unlawful possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance, according to a news release from Kendall County State’s Attorney Eric Weis.
The deal stems from a search warrant executed in 2017 at Jefferies’ residence in Plano. Police found crack cocaine, digital scales, multiple surveillance cameras and other drug paraphernalia during the search, according to the news release.
Weis said police had found fewer than 20 grams of crack cocaine in Jefferies’ possession.
“That’s worth approximately $1,500 to $1,700, depending on how pure it is,” Weis said.
Jefferies has a history of drug offenses, according to the news release, including deliveries to undercover police officers and multiple felony convictions in the past 10 years.
