The DeKalb County Community Foundation recently announced three open scholarship opportunities as the end of the school year approaches, according to a news release.
The scholarships are the Palmer Family Music Education Scholarship, which supports DeKalb County high school graduates pursuing a career in music or music education; the Harold P. Wells Scholarship, which provides DeKalb Fire Department employees, family members of employees, and graduates of the Kishwaukee Education Consortium’s Fire Science Program support for educational expenses including college tuition, fire courses, educational short courses, conferences and summer camps; and the CHS Elburn Scholarship, which is available to high school graduates and current undergraduate students at an accredited college or university who are family members of an eligible CHS Elburn customer or employee.
Applications for all three scholarships are due 11:59 p.m. March 31.
More than 70 scholarship funds exist at the community foundation, the release said. The majority of these funds are administered by local high schools but the aforementioned scholarships are available online at dekalbccf.org/scholarships.
