SYCAMORE – A DeKalb man accused of stealing a security camera from an apartment complex near his home is being held in DeKalb County jail on $10,000 bond.

Phillip G. Turner, 24, of the 300 block of First Street, has been charged with burglary, and if convicted, he could face three to seven years in prison.

Police records show Turner broke into an apartment complex in the 200 block of First Street on Wednesday and stole a video surveillance camera from the maintenance group, after he’d pulled wires from the camera.

Turner, who was arrested at his apartment, is due back in court at 9 a.m. Thursday.
