Discover how to make healthy holiday cookies at the library

DeKALB – Can a cookie be healthy and still taste good? Yes!

The DeKalb Public Library will host a program from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday that will offer tips and tricks to holiday baking for different dietary needs.

A variety of recipes that have been adapted to meet different dietary needs will be explored. Some are nut, dairy, egg, gluten or grain free. Others are diabetic-friendly, low-calorie or low-fat. Recipes and samples will be provided while supplies last.

This program is part of the “A Healthy Mind, in a Healthy Body” initiative between the DeKalb Public Library and the DeKalb Kiwanis Club. It is free, open to all and requires no registration. It will be in the lower-level Yusunas Meeting Room.

For information, contact Samantha at samanthah@dkpl.org or 815-756-9568, ext. 1701.
