DeKALB – The DeKalb Music Boosters are looking for nominations for their Hall of Fame which are due by the first week of January.
The Maestro Award, a new category this year, according to a news release from the boosters, will honor a retired music teacher or staff member within DeKalb School District 428.
Operating in conjunction with District 428, the DeKalb Music Boosters is an organization which supports DeKalb music programs and encouraging an appreciation for music.
Nominations must be made by 5 p.m. Jan. 7, by filling out a nomination form which can be found on the booster’s website.
The Maestro Award will join the already existing Muse Award, which honors an outstanding music advocate who has made a significant impact developing and fostering the growth of the District 428 music programs.
Award winners will be announced in February, and honored at the Hats, Horses and Harmony celebration
