Sutton Smith continued pursuing the NIU records book like it was a quarterback rolling out of the pocket as the defensive end earned a spot on the Walter Camp All-American second team.
He became the first Huskie to earn a spot on the team in consecutive years. He leads the NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision with a school-record 15 sacks and is second with 24.5 tackles for loss.
He is the only Mid-American Conference player on this year’s Camp All-American first or second teams.
He is the third Huskie to be named to a Camp All-American Team, joining Leshon Johnson (1993) and Shawun Lurry (2015).
