Special guest Rick Olson, mayor of Sandwich and former Sandwich police chief, will make a special appearance in this weekend’s production of “Scrooge – The Radio Musical.”

The Indian Valley Theatre play is the hit radio musical adaptation inspired by Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol.” Kathie Hart is the director.

Olson will perform the role of the Radio Host: Richard Allister Cooke. He will provide narration and insights throughout the show. In college, Olson played percussion. He also played in the pit band of IVT’s “Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.”

Olson lives in Sandwich with his wife, Lynne, daughter, Emily, and son, Michael, and is the proud grandpa of five.

Performances will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at the Sandwich Opera House, 140 E. Railroad St. in Sandwich.

Tickets can be purchased in advance for $18 at indianvalleytheatre.com or at the box office at the Opera House one hour before showtime for $20.
