To the Editor:
Being in our 70s, we have contracted with a service that plows our driveway and over the years has been totally reliable. Yesterday I had an imperative medical appointment out of town and called the service asking for it to come by early and that occurred allowing me to make my appointment.
The downside was the driveway was cleaned before the city plowed the street and in doing so left snow in front of the drive that over night froze. This morning I was out slow chopping through the now-iced snow, an exhausting enterprise for a senior citizen.
A truck with a plow from another company came by and out of small town friendliness shooed me away and completed the task and refused any payment.
Good service from both companies and again a reason why it is pleasant to live in a small town.
