Former DeKalb teen reported missing from Carbondale treatment center

CARBONDALE – Carbondale police are urging residents to be on the lookout for former DeKalb resident Anna M. Racine, 16, now of Earlville, who may be traveling with 15-year-old Melissa Camargo of Rockford.

Both runaway teens were reported missing Nov. 13 from Gateway Alcohol and Drug Treatment Center, 1080 E. Park St. in Carbondale. According to the police report, both individuals left in an unknown direction, but could be heading to the northern Illinois area.

Racine is described as a white female, 5-foot-4, about 120 pounds, with wavy brown hair, green eyes, last seen wearing a red hooded sweatshirt.

Camargo is described as a Hispanic female, 5-2, about 130 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes, last seen wearing a green jacket.

Individuals with information on whereabouts of the two girls are urged to call the Carbondale Police Department at 618-457-3200.
