DeKalb interim City Manager Raymond Munch announced during a meeting Tuesday night that the city had discovered a $1.8 million deficit in its budget. A teaser on the front page of the Wednesday, Nov. 21, edition was inaccurate, stating it was a DeKalb County Board issue.
Munch also said the city’s five-year budget forecast overprojected the hotel/motel tax for 2019 to be a 102 percent increase versus a 2 percent increase. The percentage was inaccurate in a story on page 4 of the Wednesday, Nov. 21, edition.
The Daily Chronicle regrets the error.
