SYCAMORE – A DeKalb man accused of stealing money from a man in the 900 block of Spiros Court was released on his signature Friday afternoon.
Alexcie Q. Anderson, 21, of the
300 block of College Avenue, has been charged with residential burglary, which typically is punishable by four to 15 years in prison.
Police said in court records that Anderson admitted that he tried to kick in the door at the apartment before one of the victim’s roommates let him in, and that he proceeded to steal money from the victim’s person while he was asleep.
Anderson was barred contact with the apartment complex, as well as the victim, and is due back in court at 1:30 p.m. Jan. 4.
