Rochelle-based Americana band Fabled Plains will bring four weeks of folk to DeKalb next month.
The band will provide a weekly musical backdrop at local restaurant and cocktail bar Tapa La Luna, kicking off the month with a lively Cinco de Mayo performance.
The band will play at 7 p.m. May 5, 11, 18 and 26.
Fabled Plains got its start in 2017 when singer/songwriter Orlando Pena began his search for a violinist, found in Abby Rose.
The band continued to grow with the addition of electric guitarist Bryan Olson and bassist Cory Ellis. Fabled Plains’ sound is eclectic, building on folk, rock, blues and funk elements.
They make use of heartfelt melodies, exciting instrumentals and ringing three-part harmonies. Listen to upcoming single “Settling” at Orlandopenamusic.com.
Tapa La Luna is at 226 E. Lincoln Highway in DeKalb.
