DeKALB – Anyone who has bought chopped romaine lettuce products at Schnucks, including its location at 975 S. Annie Glidden Road, should put down their forks, according to a news release sent Friday afternoon by the regional supermarket chain.
The release said any such lettuce on the salad bar – as well as apple walnut, Greek, cobb and tossed garden salads from the self-service deli and prepared foods area – could be infected with E. coli.
A multistage outbreak of E. coli prompted a recall of the products, according to the release.
Anyone who has bought any of these products can return them to their nearest store for a full refund.
