MALTA – Kishwaukee College’s Continuing Education department will put on two three-hour presentations on American history at 9 a.m. Wednesday and 6 p.m. April 18 at the college’s Jenkins Auditorium.
The free presentations, titled “U.S. History and Today,” will chronicle political and cultural history of the country starting in World War I. Information will be presented by amateur historian John LeGear.
“American history in hindsight, in this case presented year-to-year in chronological order since World War I started in 1914, provides a clearer picture of the past,” LeGear said in a news release. “It helps us identify patterns of human behavior that can inform us to make wiser decisions, decisions that will surely shape the way Americans of the future will live.”
Attendees should park in the south lot and enter through Doors 16 and 17.
