DEKALB – The DeKalb County Health Department recently released its 2018 schedule of recycling events.
Those events include two opportunities to recycle electronics, one household hazardous waste event, and one paint and textile recycling event, according to a post on the department's Facebook page.
The electronics events will take place from 9 a.m. to noon June 2 and 9 a.m. to noon Sept. 22 at DeKalb Taylor Municipal Airport, 3232 Pleasant St., DeKalb. All previous monthly electronic events have been canceled.
The event for household hazardous waste will be held from 9 a.m. to noon May 19 at the DeKalb County Farm Bureau, 1350 W. Prairie Drive, Sycamore, and the paint and textile collection will be from 9 a.m. to noon July 14 at the DeKalb County Health Department, 2550 N. Annie Glidden Road, DeKalb.
DeKalb County residents must show proof of residence to bring items, and those from Sycamore, Genoa and Kirkland are encouraged to use Waste Management's "At Your Door" service, according to the release.
