DeKALB – Former Northern Illinois defensive back Shawun Lurry said he always plays with a chip on his shoulder.
Lurry and 14 other former Huskies did their best to show that to 14 scouts from 11 NFL teams Wednesday during NIU’s annual Football Pro Day at the Chessick Center.
“I felt pretty good,” said Lurry, who recorded the best 40-yard dash time of 4.49 seconds. “I had three months of training, and I came out and showed what I can do.
“I have great ball skills. I’m always around the ball. I’m quick. … When I get that call, I’ll be ready.”
