DeKALB – The 56th annual Northern Illinois Regional History Fair is in need of volunteer judges for the Feb. 24 event, according to a news release from Northern Illinois University.
Each year, hundreds of junior high and high school students participate in the fair by writing research papers, designing websites, building exhibits, creating documents and performing skits related to Illinois history. Although papers and websites are judged beforehand, volunteer judges are still needed for display exhibits, documentaries and live performances.
Judges must arrive at Northern Illinois University’s Holmes Student Center by 8:45 a.m. for judge’s orientation and instructions. Judging duties should be finished by 1:30 p.m.
Interested volunteers can fill out an online form on go.niu.edu/HistoryFair.
