SYCAMORE – Nonprofit registration is open for 2018 Give DeKalb County. The 24-hour fundraising event will take place May 3.

“We’re excited to celebrate the fifth anniversary of Give DeKalb County,” Ben Bingle, director of DeKalb County Nonprofit Partnership, said in a news release. “We’ve had donors call this their favorite day of the year, and it’s an extraordinary opportunity to shine a light on the nonprofit sector.”

Participating nonprofits must be 501(c)3 organizations located in or serving DeKalb County, legally registered to fundraise in Illinois, and be registered as 2018 DCNP members by March 1. The previous four giving days have raised more than $1.2 million combined for participating nonprofits.

“We’re fortunate to live in a very generous community, and Give DeKalb County is an exciting way to express that generosity,” Bingle said.
