SYCAMORE – At its regular meeting Tuesday, the Sycamore School District 427 Board is expected to receive an update on an agreement with the Sycamore Park District allowing a path to cross Sycamore Middle School grounds.
The trail is part of the park district’s Action 2020 projects, which include the new Legacy Campus and its splash pad, community center, dog park and sled hill. The path past the middle school is one of two trails the park district has planned that will connect to the larger trail network.
The path also is supposed to provide a safer passage for students to walk to the school.
The board also will honor Kishwaukee College with a proclamation celebrating its 50 years as a community college. The district board will proclaim 2018 the year of Kishwaukee College. The proclamation will recognize the college has provided education for the region, and works with local school districts sizes and from all grade levels, from pre-K through workforce development.
“We wish Kishwaukee College many more years of success and look forward to seeing what the future holds for this great community resource,” the conclusion of the proclamation reads.
Also on the agenda are updates on legislation in Springfield, a cash flow analysis and reports from any committees that have met.
The meeting will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Administration Building at 245 W. Exchange St., Sycamore.
