SYCAMORE – A Sycamore man accused of stealing tools from a fellow mobile home owner’s detached garage posted $1,000 bail shortly after he was arrested Monday night.

Jason A. Kidd, 23, of the 2500 block of Lilac Lane in the Edgebrook mobile home park, has been charged with burglary. If convicted, he could face three to seven years in prison.

Sycamore police Cmdr. Mike Anderson said a report was filed with the department May 10, and that the owner said the tools were stolen sometime in mid-April.

Kidd posted bail Monday night to be released before he would have had a bond hearing Tuesday afternoon.

He’s due back in court Dec. 20.
