Indian Valley Theatre’s next production will be “Peter Pan Jr.,” directed by Susan Graham of Somonauk.
“Peter Pan Jr.” is a musical based on the play by Sir J.M. Barrie, with lyrics by Carolyn Leigh and music by Morris (Moose) Charlap. Additional lyrics are by Comden and Adolph Green and additional music is by Jule Styne. It was originally directed, choreographed and adapted by Jerome Robbins.
IVT’s “Peter Pan Jr.” cast consists of children 18 and younger from Sandwich and various surrounding communities.
In “Peter Pan Jr.,” Wendy Darling loves to tell stories to her brothers, Michael and John. But when her father announces she must move out of the nursery, Peter and his mischievous fairy sidekick, Tinkerbell, visit the nursery of the Darling children late one night. With a sprinkle of pixie dust, they begin a magical journey across the stars to Neverland that none of them will ever forget.
In the adventure of a lifetime, the travelers come face to face with a ticking crocodile, a fierce Indian tribe, the Lost Boys, a band of bungling pirates and, of course, the villainous pirate Captain Hook.
