DeKALB – A meeting for residents of DeKalb’s 5th Ward will be at 5 p.m. Wednesday at the DeKalb Police Department, 700 W. Lincoln Highway.

The meeting had been scheduled for Monday, but had to be rescheduled to accommodate a special DeKalb City Council meeting to discuss the fiscal 2018 budget.

Fifth Ward Alderwoman Kate Noreiko will provide updates on matters affecting residents of the ward and seek feedback from audience members. DeKalb Police Chief Gene Lowery will be in attendance to receive feedback on the Safe Streets Initiative, which would establish new parking restrictions in certain parts of the city.
