Library fundraiser features 'The Big Lebowski'

DeKALB – Are you constantly searching for a rug that really brings the room together? Have a penchant for White Russians? Can you think of nothing more enjoyable than bowling with friends? Do you have very strong feelings about the Eagles?

Adults are invited to the DeKalb Public Library from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Friday for a night of drinks and games as the cult classic, “The Big Lebowski,” is screened. Those in costume can win a righteous prize.

This event is open to ages 18 and older. The entry fee is $10 or $20 for entry fee plus two drink tickets. White Russians and a limited selection of other alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages will be available for purchase. Tickets will be available at the door, or they can be purchased in advance at the library’s circulation desk. Ticket holders will be carded when purchasing alcoholic beverages.

The movie will begin at 7 p.m. in the Yusunas Meeting Room, but guests are welcome to come and go as they please. Crafts and games will be held in the library’s main lobby.

This event is an after-hours fundraiser held in conjunction with Faranda’s. For information, contact Britta at brittak@dkpl.org or 815-756-9568, ext. 2100.
