Stage Coach Theatre to present ‘Tangled in Tinsel’

DeKALB – Dress in the best of your worst and head to Stage Coach Theatre for “Tangled in Tinsel: Songs of the Season” on Dec. 8, 9, and 10.

This holiday-themed cabaret performance is a special, one-weekend-only show featuring more than 30 singers and a wide selection of holiday favorites including classic holiday songs. And audience members who show off the best of their worst get a chance to win “The Ugliest Christmas Sweater” prize – two tickets to Stage Coach Players’ next production, “Sugar,” a hilarious musical version of the 1959 musical farce “Some Like It Hot,” which starred Marilyn Monroe, Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon.

There is something for every holiday taste in this show.

“Tangled in Tinsel” is directed by Michele McClane, Nika Morton and Cortney Newby.

This concert also doubles as a fundraiser for Stage Coach Players, a nonprofit community theater organization celebrating the arts in DeKalb since 1947. In addition to the ticket sales, a Tangled in Tinsel 50/50 drawing will take place with the random winner being awarded a season ticket for the Stage Coach Players’ 2018 season which will feature three musicals and four plays.

Performances of “Tangled in Tinsel” will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Dec. 8 and 9, and a matinée performance at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 10. Stage Coach Theatre is located at 126 S. Fifth St. in DeKalb.

Ticket cost $20 for adults and $18 for those younger than 12 or older than 65. Tickets are available online at www.stagecoachers.com or can be bought by calling the Stage Coach Players Box Office at 815-758-1940.
