DeKalb 5th Ward Alderwoman Kate Noreiko speaks about tax increment financing funds Sept. 19 during a Committee of the Whole meeting.

DeKALB – Residents of DeKalb’s 5th Ward are invited to an informational meeting at 5 p.m. Dec. 4 in the second-floor community room of the DeKalb Police Department.

Alderwoman Kate Noreiko will provide updates on matters of interest to the Ward’s residents and seek feedback from members of the public.

DeKalb Police Chief Gene Lowery also will be at the meeting to answer any questions on the safe streets initiative, which was outlined during the DeKalb City Council’s last Committee of the Whole meeting.

The initiative would implement new parking restrictions in and around the Annie Glidden North neighborhood in an effort to reduce crime in the area.
