Indian Valley Theatre is working on its next production, “Mostly Minnesota Christmas” by Brian Mitchell and directed by Brad Shortridge.
This holiday comedy will be performed Dec. 1 through Dec. 3 at the Sandwich Opera House, 140 E. Railroad St. in Sandwich.
’Tis the season to be merry… and annoyed by your family. As Bill and Abby prepare for Christmas in frigid northern Minnesota, long-estranged relatives start showing up on their doorstep to heal old wounds and reconcile irreconcilable differences. Besides the surprise relatives, Abby is busy producing and directing the Christmas pageant at her church, and let’s face it, bringing together one’s family to celebrate Christmas never goes quite as planned. With a sharp tongue and a soft heart, this rollicking comedy is a reminder of how Christmas and family go hand-in-hand, no matter what happens.
Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 1 and Dec. 2, and at 2 p.m. Dec. 3.
Tickets are $12 in advance or $15 at the door and can be purchased online at indianvalleytheatre.com or at the box office at the Opera House up until 30 minutes before showtime if seats are available.
