SYCAMORE – The Sycamore School District 427 Board will hear updates Tuesday night at its regular meeting from several groups and administrators.
Ryan Janisch, principal of North Grove Elementary School, will give an update on what's happening at the school. North Grove also is hosting the meeting. The school board, which meets twice a month, rotates meeting locations, meeting sometimes at the district office and also at the various district schools.
Jon Malone, director of the Northwest Illinois Association, will present to the board. The NIA is a special education cooperative with members from 10 counties in northwest Illinois, including DeKalb. The association's headquarters is in Sycamore, but the Sycamore school district is not a member.
Lynn Reilley, director of student services, will give the annual report for her department. Student services provides special education services for students throughout the district. Services include early childhood education, life skills and programs for English language learners.
The board will hear an update from a Sycamore High student about the activities of the Spartan Senate, as well.
Representatives of the Turning Back Time show also will be at the meeting in order to present the district with a donation.
The board will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at North Grove Elementary School, 850 Republic Ave.
