Sycamore offers small-town charm with memorable entertainment for the whole family all summer long. We have a calendar full of events that will please all.
Start your summer off by strolling through Sycamore’s Farmers Market. You will find specialty goods like freshly baked breads and confections, organic herbs, beautiful fresh-cut flowers, annuals and perennials, olive oils, pasture-raised pork, fresh ground coffee and beans, food trucks, live music, and handcrafted products from area artists.
Our lively and family friendly farmers market brings fresh, high-quality and locally sourced food to our community every Tuesday from 3 to 7 p.m., June through September. It is located in historic downtown Sycamore at the corner of Somonauk and Elm streets.
Tuesdays on the Town take place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. the second Tuesday of each month, June through September. Each month will bring a new event with family friendly activities.
MVP’s Sports Bar will host a block party on Saturday, with live music by Red Woody starting at 8 p.m. for adults age 21 and older. There will be beer specials throughout the evening. Grab a bite to eat and get a prime spot before the show.
On July 29, hundreds of cars will paint the streets of downtown Sycamore for Cruise Night. Enjoy live music from The Beaux and indulge in the food and beer garden that will be open from 3 to 11 p.m. Find a spot early and watch the classic car cruise at 5:30 p.m. Head downtown July 30 for the 18th annual Fizz Ehrler Memorial Turning Back Time Car Show. Gates open at 6 a.m. with countless cars covering downtown Sycamore.
On Aug. 12, PJ’s Courthouse Tavern will host its 23rd annual Golf Outing Block Party. Live music from the Party Doctors can be heard from 8 to 11 p.m. Be sure to stop by PJ’s to reserve your foursome group.
Hot ribs, ice cold beer and live music. What more could you want? Your nose will help you find your way to downtown Sycamore on Aug. 26 for Sycamore’s Ribs, Rhythm and Brews Fest. Treat yourself to award-winning ribs from across the county as vendors compete for Rib Fest Champion. Wash down those hot ribs with ice cold beer at the beer garden and enjoy crowd-pleasing musical entertainment from Back Country Roads with opening act Johnny and the Boomers from 5 to 11 p.m.
