Unity Hospice of Western Illinois, serving DeKalb County and surrounding areas, recently welcomed David Taylor, a registered nurse, to its hospice team to serve as community relations representative.
In his role, Taylor will be responsible for implementing strategic marketing plans and accomplishing marketing goals set forth by the business development team. He will educate local clinicians about the care provided by Unity Hospice, its individualized patient and community programs and how the hospice care team can improve quality of life for patients during a life-limiting illness.
Taylor comes to Unity Hospice with supervisory experience in home care and hospice, and more than 30 years of nursing experience overall. Additionally, Taylor brings marketing knowledge from his experience working in pharmaceutical sales.
A Pittsburgh native, Taylor lives in Genoa with his daughter, sister and two dogs. Outside of work, Taylor is involved in his daughter’s activities and athletic events. As a testament to his involvement, Taylor officiates three sports – women’s softball from youth league to Division 1 college, high school volleyball, as well as both boys and girls high school basketball through the varsity level.
