The Kishwaukee Family YMCA in partnership with Voluntary Action Center continue to host Senior Health and Fitness Luncheons from noon to 1 p.m. on the fourth Tuesday of every month through May.
The next lunch will be held April 25. Lunches are provided by VAC and will be held at the Kishwaukee Family YMCA lap pool lobby located at 2500 W. Bethany Road in Sycamore.
Chris Laurent, athletic trainer with KishHealth System now part of Northwestern Medicine, will present at the April luncheon and discuss slips and fall prevention.
Anyone age 60 or older is welcome to attend including spouses younger than 60 who dine with their spouse. Attendees are not required to be a YMCA member and are asked to register at the YMCA front desk by 10 a.m. the Monday prior. The suggested donation is $3.50 per meal. Guests younger than 60 may dine at a cost of $6 per meal. Eligible participants will not be denied meals due to inability or unwillingness to contribute.
