The public is invited to join representatives from Kindred Healthcare and members of the Sycamore Chamber of Commerce for a ribbon-cutting and open house from noon to 3 p.m. March 24 at Kindred Hospital Sycamore, 225 Edward St. in Sycamore.

The event will offer lunch at noon. A ribbon-cutting will take place at 1:30 p.m. Dessert and tours of the hospital will be available following the ribbon-cutting. On hand will be representatives of the Sycamore Chamber of Commerce as well as staff from Kindred Hospital Sycamore, Kindred at Home, Kindred Hospice, Kindred’s RehabCare and Pay-It-Forward House, the nonprofit residence for family members of patients in long-term recovery situations at local hospitals.

“We’re celebrating our more than 30 years of serving the Sycamore and DeKalb communities and using this event as a means to thank them for their support,” Jim Cohick, chief executive officer of Kindred Hospital Sycamore, said in a news release. “We are extremely appreciative of the many patients, their family members and the doctors who turn to us for our continuum of post-acute services, from our long-term acute care hospital to Kindred’s rehabilitation, home health and hospice services.”

For information about the open house, call Jim Cohick at 815-895-2144.
