EAA Chapter 241 of the Experimental Aircraft Association is offering a $2,000 flight training scholarship to students living in DeKalb County. It is intended to encourage DeKalb County teens who are interested in a career in aviation.

Applicants must be 16 to 19 years old by the application deadline date of April 3. The applicant should have a good academic standing and be involved in their community and extracurricular activities. A well-written essay is very important.

This scholarship is sponsored by EAA 241 through fundraising from the annual breakfasts, and will be awarded at the breakfast June 4. Donations from DeKalb Mechanical, and the Turning Back Time Car Show, Sycamore, also support this scholarship.

Information can be found at eaa241.org. For questions, call Albert Dyer at 630-840-3863 or 630-406 5764.
