Dr. Siddiqui: Chemo closer to home

SPONSORED

The drive to Rochester, Minnesota is a lengthy and time-consuming one.

Getting to DeKalb, Illinois has proven to be much more accessible, and dozens of patients from around the Midwest have been referred to Dr. Siddiqui.

Dr. Siddiqui. has a state of the art Infusion Center to deliver chemotherapy in a safe and comfortable environment, offering personalized care with comfortable massage chairs in private cubicles.

There’s an obvious reason why many make the trip to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester and it’s to get some of the best care available. Fortunately, thanks to Dr. Sabet Siddiqui, MD Hematology/Oncology, specialized medical care can also be accessed in DeKalb making for a shorter trip for chemo.

“We’ve got patients from other parts of Illinois, as well as Indiana and Ohio who were going all the way to Rochester to get chemo,” Dr. Siddiqui said. “We have at least 15 or 20 patients that are not from our area, but are driving one to four hours.”

Word of mouth has spread about Dr. Siddiqui., who is moving his medical office to a new address, 3301 Resource Parkway in DeKalb, on June 11.

It all originated from Dr. Eugene Kwon, a world-renowned urologist at the Mayo Clinic, who is originally from the DeKalb area.

“Our relationship has been one where he has referred patients back and forth to me for the past 10 years,” Dr. Siddiqui said. “His patients like the care they receive from us and he’s been referring people from Iowa and other nearby states who were going to Mayo for chemo so that they can now get it at my office and not have to drive as far every time.”

All new patients who see Dr. Siddiqui will receive a one-hour consultation. His office accepts Medicare and most private insurance plans.

Call Dr. Siddiqui at (815) 862-3489.
