The FRIENDS of Barb City Manor Volunteer Auxiliary invites the public to its meeting at 2 p.m. Sept. 2 in the Activity Room of Barb City Manor Retirement Home, 680 Haish Blvd., DeKalb.

Guy Todnem, an educational historian, will share true-life stories of memorable teachers as told by former students. These stories are from individuals in their 50s, 60s and beyond. Participants are invited to share their personal stories of a memorable teacher as well as any photographs they have.

There will be a brief FRIENDS business meeting after the program, followed by refreshments. For those interested in volunteering at Barb City Manor, the FRIENDS of Barb City Manor Volunteer Auxiliary offers a variety of opportunities. Annual dues cost $2 for active members and $5 for supporting members.
