KishHealth System offers free cancer screenings

KishHealth System is offering free breast exams, mammograms, and Pap tests at KishHealth System’s Women Matter event on Sept. 9 for women ages 40 to 64 who are residents of DeKalb County.

The fourth annual event will take place at both Kishwaukee Hospital in DeKalb and Valley West Hospital in Sandwich. Appointments are required. Seated chair massages, educational information, refreshments and a gift for each participant also will be provided.

There are no income eligibility criteria other than being uninsured or having insurance that does not include screening coverage. 

Appointments can be made by calling Kishwaukee Hospital at 815-748-2975 or Valley West Hospital at 815-786-1750.
