Election judges sought for November vote

SYCAMORE – The DeKalb County Clerk and Recorder’s office is seeking people to serve as election judges for the Nov. 4 general election.

The base pay for a day of service is $90, with an additional $40 for those who have been trained.

Training is available on Sept. 29, 30 and Oct. 1. Training is required to receive the extra $40.

Judges must: be U.S. citizens; be entitled to vote in the November election; be residents of and registered to vote in DeKalb County; be of good repute and character; be able to speak, read and write in English; have skills in the four fundamental rules of arithmetic; be capable of performing the required duties; and complete state-require training. Election judges cannot be precinct committeemen or candidates for any office at the election.
