Human Rights Authority meeting scheduled

The Northwest Regional Human Rights Authority of the Illinois Guardianship & Advocacy Commission will meet at 4 p.m. Aug. 26 at Illinois Guardianship & Advocacy Commission, 4302 N. Main St., Suite 108, Rockford.

Complaints regarding alleged violations of the rights of persons with disabilities by public and private service providers will be received.

The Human Rights Authority is a panel of volunteers empowered by statue to investigate alleged violations in the nine northwestern counties of Illinois.

Concerned citizens may report any rights violations at the meeting or by contacting the coordinator at the regional office at 815-987-7657.
