Are you going through hard and difficult times, with faith hard to hold on to? Come join Women of the Word for help and guidance. WOW is an interdenominational Bible-centered study with weekly small group interaction, large group worship and teaching.
Attendees will learn to grow in faith, hope and love by studying lessons from teacher Ray Vander Laan. By using scriptures from the Bible, Vander Laan will guide participants to a better understanding of God and help them through those difficulties.
WOW will start its 16th season with a Growing in Godliness Kickoff on at 7 p.m. Aug. 28 at Waterman Presbyterian Church, 250 N. Cedar St., Waterman.
Kicking off the WOW year is inspirational speaker Sarah Craigmyle from Big Rock. She will share about her faith walk through the desert journeys of her life. Hear how her faith grew over the years in ministry training, with other Christians, and in her relationship with Christ. Craigmyle is involved in various ministries reaching out to others who are hurting showing them the love of God the Father.
Open house registration also will be held Aug. 28 at Waterman Presbyterian Church from 9 to 11 a.m. and 6 to 7 p.m., followed by the kickoff from 7 to 9 p.m. WOW begins Sept. 18, so be sure to register.
A morning WOW from 9 to 11:30 a.m. includes a children’s program for nursery and preschool children. The evening WOW is held from 6:45 to 9 p.m.
The $25 registration fee includes lessons and handouts for the study.
