GENOA – The family of Navy reservist Cody Noren is asking Genoa residents to welcome him home Thursday from a five-month deployment to Afghanistan.

As a surprise, motorcycle riders will meet Noren and his wife, Megan, at the Genoa Veterans Home, 311 S. Washington St., about 6:30 p.m. and escort him the rest of the way home. Family members are asking the community to help welcome him home by standing along the route to cheer for him. The route will run east along Hill Street, south on Sycamore Street and west on Walnut Street.
