DeKalb County construction to be by Illinois Jobs Now!

KIRKLAND – Construction projects in DeKalb County will be funded by Gov. Pat Quinn's Illinois Jobs Now! construction program.

Quinn announced $1.6 million will be used for construction projects in DeKalb County, and the projects will be managed by the Illinois Department of Transportation.

Route 72 from the Ogle County line to the west limits of Kirkland will be milled and resurfaced for 4.85 miles for $1,154,684 by Rock Road Companies Inc. of Janesville, Wisconsin, the lowest of four bidders. Resurfacing will be done on various routes in DeKalb County for $448,198 by Martin & Company Excavating of Oregon, the lowest of three bidders.
