SYCAMORE – Sycamore firefighters plan to collect donations for three more days for the Muscular Dystrophy Association after a fundraising campaign began Friday.

Members of Sycamore Firefighters Local #3046 were asking donors to drop money into their boots Friday at Hy-Vee, according to a news release. The Fill the Boot campaign will continue Aug. 15 at Jewel and on Aug. 22 and Aug. 23 at the intersection of California and Elm streets in Sycamore.

The funds raised will support MDA's programs of worldwide research, specialized health care services and day-to-day support, such as sending children affected by muscular dystrophy and related diseases to a weeklong camp, the news release states.
