The Performing Arts Academy at 504 N. Main St. in Sycamore is taking registration for fall classes, which begin Sept. 2.

The Performing Arts Academy is taking registration for fall classes.

Semester 1 begins Sept. 2 and runs through Jan. 17. Classes offered are: Storybook Ballet for ages 3 to 5; Ballet/Tap Combo ages 3 to 5; Tumbling ages 18 months to 6 years; Ballet & Jazz ages 6+; lyrical ages 8+; contemporary ages 10+; aerial silks ages 9+; and Pilates for adults.

The school will host an open house and registration from 6:15 to 7:30 p.m. Aug. 12. The public is welcome to come and take a tour of the studio, visit with staff and register for classes at this time. Registration also is available by phone or online at www.sycamoreballet.com.

The school strives to educate and develop students with a pre-professional background in dance. There is an age appropriate approach to music, movement and costumes followed by all staff. The focus of the school is ballet, the foundation for dance technique while offering other forms of dance as well. The curriculum is designed to progress students at a reasonable pace while working in a fun, positive environment.
