Somonauk Summerfest starts today

SOMONAUK – Somonauk Summerfest starts today in Community Park on South Gage Street.

Country band Mason Rivers will headline at 8 p.m. tonight, while the Brandon Stiles Band will be the first act at 5 p.m. Saturday, and eight-piece party band Radio Incorporated is next at 9 p.m.

The weekend will include a craft fair, cruise night, vintage baseball game, bean bag toss tournament, Texas Hold’em tournament, food vendors, truck pulls, kids play zone and beer tent.

There will be several health displays during the fest including a booth from KishHealth System and eye screenings from Somonauk Lions Club. Heartland Blood Bank will hold a blood drive from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Somonauk Village Hall, 131 S. Depot St.
